Based solely on his two faceless cameos as Superman, Henry Cavill has quite a problematic future in the DCEU. The actor has exclusively portrayed the DCEU’s Superman since the character's reintroduction in Man of Steel, returning for both Batman vs. Superman and Justice League, in addition to a pair of brief cameos as the studio attempts to work out its future plans for the iconic hero. Instead, Warner Bros. chose to use vague stand-in Superman shapes rather than hiring Cavill to appear.
