A photo from the set of The Witcherseason 3 reveals the ridiculous number of swords used on Netflix's popular fantasy series. Based on Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski's book series of the same name, The Witcher follows the exploits of Geralt of Rivia, a magically enhanced monster hunter who travels across the medieval-inspired landscape known as the Continent, undertaking various quests which often include slaying imposing creatures for coin. During his travels, Geralt meets the important supporting characters Princess Ciri and Yennefer of Vengerberg.
The DCEU's Superman actor Henry Cavill leads The Witcher cast as the titular monster hunter alongside Freya Allan as Ciri, who becomes linked to Geralt through destiny, and Anya Chalotra as the powerful quarter-elf sorceress Yennefer, who falls in love with the Witcher. Developed for television by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, The Witcher season 2 premiered on Netflix in December 2021 and saw Geralt take Ciri to his childhood home of Kaer Morhen to train the young princess as a Witcher. Production on the third season is now underway and multiple looks at The Witcher season 3 set have surfaced online.
