Bachelor In Paradise host Jesse Palmer announced that he has officially opened the show for filming for season 8. Bachelor In Paradise brings together contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette as they try to find love on the beaches of Mexico. Since its debut in 2014, the show has become a fan favorite and has led to some of the most successful marriages in the franchise, including Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, and Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk. Engaged couples Hannah Godwin and Dylan Barbour, and Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt are currently planning their weddings, while Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes are still dating.
Bachelor In Paradise season 7 was especially full of love, with two engaged couples, Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile and Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch still going strong. Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs recently got engaged as she proposed to him. In addition, couples Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb, Pieper James and Brendan Morais, and Chris Conran and Alana Milne are still together.

On Instagram, Jesse posted a picture of himself smiling on the Mexican beach pointing to a sign that said, «OPEN.» The caption reads, «With the power vested in me, I now officially declare Paradise OPEN!!!» Jesse will take over as host after last season's rotating celebrity roster that included David Spade, Lance Bass, Tituss Burgess, Lil Jon, and beloved Bachelor In Paradise bartender Wells Adams. Wells will return to mix drinks and offer advice to the contestants on Bachelor In Paradise season 8.
