Players are now able to slip on rugs in their favorite roleplaying game thanks to a modder known as JohnSkyrim who recently released Rumpled Rugs. This mod for Skyrim features “more than 50 new variants of rug meshes for a more immersive experience” in addition to “the added option of interactive fixing and tripping!”

This mod replaces nearly 300 rug references with brand new disrupted meshes,” JohnSkyrim explains about Rumpled Rugs. “This is not a straight up model replacement. Not all rugs are affected, only the ones that make sense!”

"Unkempt rugs can also trip the player,” JohnSkyrim says. The modder points out how “there is a three percent chance when walking, five percent chance when running, and seven percent chance when sprinting.” Players can however avoid faceplanting by acquiring certain abilities during their adventure. “Sneaking and the Light Foot perk will 100 percent prevent you from tripping,” JohnSkyrim remarks.
