The Umbrella Academy season 3 will properly introduce the Sparrow Academy, and the biggest surprise is that, in this timeline, Ben Hargreeves is part of the Sparrow Academy, and he will be more powerful than the Umbrella Academy's Ben. Created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy made the jump from the comic book pages to TV/streaming in 2019 thanks to Netflix, and it quickly became one of the streaming giant’s most popular titles, and it’s now preparing for its third season.
The Umbrella Academy introduced the audience to the Hargreeves, seven kids with superpowers who were adopted and trained by scientist and billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves. With time, the Hargreeves went their separate ways and didn’t speak to each other for years, and reunited years later to stop the apocalypse. Unfortunately, they couldn’t stop the end of the world and had to jump to 1960s Dallas, Texas, to save themselves, where they successfully stopped a second apocalypse. The Hargreeves were finally able to return to their present year (2019) at the end of The Umbrella Academy season 2, where they were welcomed with a huge surprise: Reginald didn’t adopt them, and instead, he adopted other seven kids from the 43 kids born under mysterious circumstances and formed The Sparrow Academy, and among them is Ben (Justin H. Min).

Ben Hargreeves was the Umbrella Academy’s Number Six, but he died prior to the events of the series and it’s still unknown exactly how he died.
