With the London Fanfest keynote, we’ve been shown preview concept art and development screenshots of some of the dungeons we can expect from Dawntrail. Here’s what we got from the London Fanfest Dawntrail Dungeon preview.
No names were given for any of the dungeons shown yet, but quite the range was shown indeed. The first dungeon screenshot depicts a dungeon starting you off on what looks like a leisurely river cruise in a boat. As we know from several dungeons by this point, any dungeon that starts with a boat is going to go to hell quickly. What’s going to attack us from the river, and where are we going? Somewhere beautiful, as evidenced by the next screenshot.

The next dungeon shown appears to be on a mountain with mysterious, very not safe looking purple masses everywhere. They look to be organic plant matter of some kind. You can also see ancient ruins in the background, so it looks like we’re going into one.
Following this mystery purple mountain dungeon is another that looks to be in an underground cavern. Possibly more ancient ruins, or my guess would be on an active, still thriving secret civilization or temple of some sort.
But the final dungeon artwork shown is the most intriguing to me personally. It looks like some kind of ceruleum processing plant. This game has taught us absolutely nothing wrong could possibly happen in a ceruleum processing plant. You know, with a material the game has told us is known to easily explode. So this seems incredibly significant to the plot of Dawntrail and I am very intrigued as to what could be inside.
That’s all we got for the London Fanfest’s Dawntrail Dungeon preview. What more didn’t we see?
