Dark And Darker might finally be easy to find and play soon following a year of legal battles between its developer Ironmace and Nexon. Accused of stealing assets from a scrapped Nexon project, Ironmace was forced to remove Dark And Darker from Steam last year. However, the fantasy adventure game now has its own Epic Store Games page and is listed on the site as "coming soon".
The Dark And Darker team confirmed it has been working with Epic Games to bring the game to its storefront, almost a year after it was removed from Steam (thanks, GamesRadar). Ironmance CEO Terence Park Seung-ha shared the good news on Discord.
With increased confidence in the quality of our game, we have started preparations on introducing Dark and Darker to a wider audience. As a first step, we are happy to announce the launch of the Dark and Darker store page on the Epic Games Store. This is a big preparatory step for us in our journey to deliver a polished product to our fans.
Terence doesn't mention Steam or the ongoing lawsuit with Nexon but urges Dark And Darker fans to head to the game's Epic page, which you can do through the link in the box below, and wishlist the game. You will need to have an Epic account to do that, but it's free and easy to do and if you want to play Dark And Darker when it's released on the storefront, you're going to need one anyway.
Dark And Darker is a battle royale game with a twist. Set in a dungeon, it blends elements of games like Escape from Tarkov with D&D and roguelikes.
Dark And Darker hasn't been entirely unavailable since it was removed from Steam. Those who have wanted to play the game in that time could still download it through the game's site or via Steam competitor, Chaf Games. Those aren't ideal alternatives to your game being available on the biggest PC storefront on the planet, though. Getting your game on the Epic Games Store, however, that's arguably the next best thing to being back on Steam.
