Cyberpunk 2077 made a lot of popular changes with its version 2.0 update, but one of them appears to have had an unintended side effect. Due to changes in how clothing and armour work, a reward for completing a questline on a much harder, non-lethal path has been nerfed, making it purely aesthetic as opposed to giving you its intended in-game advantage.
Before the update, completing the Psycho Killer questline without killing the cyberpsychos gave you the Trauma Team Armor-Weave Tactical Vest. This came with extra armour, ensuring V could take more hits before getting killed. Now, with armour tied to cyberware, the vest is solely cosmetic, nerfing the secret reward you'd get for finding a way to spare the cyberpsychos of Night City.

This likely unintended issue was spotted by Reddit user stephanobro78, who shared that the reward for completing this questline without killing any enemies has been downgraded.
"With the 2.0 changes armour no longer is applied to clothing, so if you went the extra mile to get the 'secret' reward for doing it non-lethal you will be so disappointed," says stephanobro78. "Don't get me wrong it looks cool but there's cooler outfits in the game, you don't even get a 'trauma team weapon or something."
Since this is a fairly obscure reward, and one that's been in the game for some time, it's likely that it was just overlooked when the changes to how clothing works were implemented. These unintended nerfs will, of course, affect any piece of clothing you're given as a reward in-game, so you better hope you like the way they look because that's the only real benefit here.
