EverQuest and EverQuest II are gearing up to launch an expansion each by the end of the year, and the two games have now opened pre-orders. The expansions mark the 30th and the 20th expansion for each MMO, respectively.
EverQuest's upcoming Laurion's Song brings new lands for players to explore, from the Ankexfen Keep in the north of Norrath to the Hero's Forge. A major feature coming with Laurion's Song, though, is the Alternate Personas feature, which lets player swap to another class without losing their bank, skills and more.
Also coming with Laurion's Song is new gear in the form of armor sets, new raids, missions, and a level cap increase to 125. The EverQuest expansion is slated to launch later this year, though pre-ordering gives you access to the beta to test throughout the next few weeks leading up to launch.
Keeping with the musical name-themed expansion,EverQuest II's Ballads of Zimara is also slated to launch later this year, bringing new zones, a cap increase and more to the MMO. Adventure and Tradeskill levels are now capped at 130, while there are new signature quests for both coming with the expansion. New raid and heroic zones are also coming with Ballads of Zimara, along with Chrono Dungeons, which let you tackle your favorite dungeons again. Pre-ordering also comes with beta access.
