The much-anticipated Version 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is now rolling out on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The update accompanies the release of the game’s story expansion Phantom Liberty.
While Phantom Liberty costs $30 / £25, the Version 2.0 update will be free to all PC and current-gen players.
Version 2.0 completely overhauls many aspects of the game’s core mechanics, and as such developer CD Projekt recommends that PC players should uninstall any mods for the game until they can be updated to support the changes.
“Because changes to crucial game systems are extensive, we strongly recommend uninstalling pre-2.0 mods until the modding community has a chance to update them<” the studio says. “Outdated mods can disrupt the experience in many ways and, in some situations, may cause critical errors.”
