The cooperative first-person shooter horror game RIPOUT is set to release in early access on October 24, making its debut on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. The news was shared during yesterday's Realms Deep livestream, since 3D Realms will publish RIPOUT.
Serbian indie developer Pet Project Games said the game is 'almost fully featured' and the early access phase will be used to gather feedback from the community. A console launch is coming in 2024.
In RIPOUT, players go through abandoned spaceships, where they will encounter numerous "mutants." The ships are procedurally generated, theoretically providing endless replayability. Here is an overview of the game's key features:
Set off on a once-in-a-lifetime journey through space in search of human survivors. Sanctuary holds the key. But where is it? And, most importantly, what is it? Unravel the fate of humanity alone or with friends in a co-op Sci-Fi FPS experience that will keep you entertained for hours on end!
RIPOUT was among the first games to announce NVIDIA's DLSS 3 support. It is currently unclear whether the DLSS Frame Generation technology will be available at the beginning of the early access phase or not; we'll inquire with the developer ahead of the upcoming launch.
