World of Warcraft ’s big Embers of Neltharion update is coming on May 2nd. Not only will this big update add an all new zone, new allies, and new challenges, it will also formallyintroduce cross-faction guilds.
The brand new zone on the way is called Zaralek Caverns. Explore the mysterious underground location and make some discoveries. Oh, and take on the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible Raid.
That raid will be out the week of May 9th, with Normal, Heroic. and Mythic difficulties to start. This will also mark the opening of Dragonflight Season 2. The new raid’s official description hints at the difficulty and the lore involved, with some real Dragonflight spoilers: “Breach Neltharion’s secret laboratory hidden within Zaralek Cavern. It is here that he created the dracthyr and ultimately succumbed to the whispers of the Old Gods and their corruption.”
Of the new enemies to face, there’s Fyrakk’s forces, who are at work gathering resources at various Suffusion Camps in two regions. Naturally, it will be up to you and other adventurers to find out what's going on and disrupt what they're doing in order to capture Fyrakk’s attention and get him and his followers out for the challenge.
With the new cavern and new enemies, there will also be new allies on the way in the update (which Robin previewed here last month). Prepare to meet the molefolk Niffen and the Drogbar.
This major update also features some other major changes, beginning with cross-faction guilds. Keeping with prior practices of cross-faction play and instance queues, this will be a voluntary option. You can keep your guild single-faction if you want to, but you also have the option to open it up. This change reflects a series of changes World of
