After more than a few rumours and reports, Ubisoft has confirmed that the Ubisoft+ subscription service is now available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. This comes via Ubisoft+ Multi Access, which means that one subscription gives access to the library of games across PC with Ubisoft Connect, Amazon Luna streaming, and Xbox consoles.
Ubisoft+ is the publisher’s crack at a home-grown subscription service, originally launching as Uplay+ in September 2019. It features day one releases of Ubisoft games, DLC and premium edition access and a bunch of Ubisoft classic games. Subscribers will also receive 10% off on in-game currency purchases they make.
The library is a little more restricted on Xbox, but still includes a broad set of 67 Ubisoft’s catalogue of games – that’s plenty more than the 39 available on Amazon Luna, but well short of the 165 on PC. Select games are also able to support cross-platform saves and progression.
Ubisoft+ Multi Access does cost a little more than the basic PC-only tier. While the base tier is $14.99 / £12.99 per month, to play on Xbox and Luna, Multi Access is $17.99 / £14.99 per month
This is a different proposition to the Ubisoft+ Classics catalogue that is included with PlayStation Plus Extra subscriptions.
