inXile Entertainment has delivered a number of solid RPGs over the years, with its most recent release, Wasteland 3, turning out to be amongst its finest outings yet, so it’s no surprise that there’s plenty of questions around what the studio’s next game is going to be. Interestingly though, it seems that at least one of its upcoming projects is going to be based on an “established IP”.
That’s as per the LinkedIn profile of George Williams (via Reddit), who was at inXile Entertainment from October 2021 to June 2022. On his profile, Williams says that he worked on upcoming unannounced project that will be part of an “established IP”.
inXile has, of course, previously confirmed that it’s working on at least two games. One of them is a first person shooter RPG that likely features a steampunk setting, while very little remains known about the other, which was said to be in “the infancy of pre-production” back in September 2020.
Williams’ profile doesn’t explicitly mention which of the two projects he’s referring to, though based on the little information that is known about at least the steampunk project, one would assume it’s the second one.
