New The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Japanese TV commercials were shared online today, providing a new quick look at the next entry in the series launching next month worldwide on Nintendo Switch.
The new commercials, which were shared with an update of the game's official Japanese website, mostly feature footage included in the game's previous trailers, but they also feature some short never seen before sequences that will only make the wait for the game much harder.
After Nintendo shared The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's final trailer earlier this month, TV commercials have become the only source of new footage for the game. Just last week, a commercial that leaked online provided a new look at some of Link's new abilities, like the Ascend ability, a new enemy variant, Hyrule Castle, a cave with a rather simple puzzle, and more.
The short footage featured in these commercials obviously cannot compare with that shown in official trailers and showcases. The aforementioned final The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer ended up being quite a trailer, providing a new look at the sky islands, what looked like dungeons, and at the main antagonist Ganondorf, who will be quite different from the force of nature that was Calamity Ganon. The trailer also seemed to suggest that Princess Zelda will play some important role in the game, but whether she will be playable or not remains to be seen.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches on Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 12th.
