The Elder Scrolls Online is opening the doors a little further on Necrom before its June release. The team has a brand new trailer for the upcoming Arcanist class, and are sharing yesterday’s Necrom event preview stream for all to watch.
The Arcanist trailer was unveiled yesterday at the two-day Elder Scrolls Online community event taking place in Las Vegas yesterday and today. This was followed by a deep dive into Necrom by members of the team, laying out both some of the inspirations taken from previous Elder Scrolls games, notably Morrowind, but how they’re putting their own spin on things. They’re looking to both plunge those who are newer, or may have come in with Skyrim or ESO itself, and those that are more familiar with the franchise into something that’s compelling.
We had our own hands-on preview of Necrom at GDC and you can read more on our experience and impressions. The community event also included a playable demo for those in attendance in Las Vegas, and it tracks with what our experiences were like.
The full presentation stream on Necrom and Update 38 is available to watch, though the community event has other panels and presentations that are not being streamed. The Necrom preview marks the beginning of what are sure to be a number of additional previews, lore blogs, and much more on the way.
Necrom and Update 38 will be out on PC/Mac on June 5th, which is less than two months away, and console on June 12th. The team also announced some limited preorder bonuses at the event, including the Sadrith Mora Spore Pony pet, which will be available to get immediately through April 18th.
This comes in addition to making the Necrom prologue chapter free to download and play for all Elder Scrolls Online
