There are many profession changes coming in Patch 10.1. One big change is that Spark of Ingenuity are no longer required as a base reagent when crafting Epic Quality gear, and Primal Chaos will become a legacy item, Depleted Primal Chaos. There is also a new group of Optional Reagents to increase crafting gear's item levels.
Epic Crafting Gear RequirementsIn patch 10.1, high-end crafting gear will no longer list Spark of Ingenuity or Primal Chaos as required reagents when crafting the base item. Primal Chaos are removed completely, and there is a new Spark Optional Reagent slot that allows you to slot in a Spark of Ingenuity to produce an item with Season 1 item levels, or a new spark, Spark of Shadowflame to produce an item level as high as 447 with the help of a Enchanted Aspect's Shadowflame Crest. New Season 2 SparkSpark of Ingenuity will be replaced with the new Spark of Shadowflame in this upcoming patch. When crafting, Spark of Shadowflame works just like the previous version and can produce an item level between 411-424 on its own. You can add one of the new Enchanted Shadowflame Crests to increase the item level as high as 447.
New Enchanted Shadowflame CrestsIn addition to the new Spark, there are 2 new infusions, Shadowflame Crests, that increase the item level of Epic Quality crafting gear. These 2 crests, Enchanted Whelpling's Shadowflame Crest and the Titan Training Matrix V are all crafted by Enchanters. Players
