The tropical farming sim, , was released several months ago, but that hasn't slowed the developers down any. Recently, the team shared a roadmap of planned content for the rest of 2024. These aren't small patches either, and will feature more story content, clothing options, multiplayer functionality, a lot of changes to how children are handled in the game, and even introduce romantic relationships with the Merfolk.
When launched in November 2023, some players were disappointed that the full release of the game did not include a finale to the main storyline. In fact, the Kickstarter project had many lofty goals that were still in the works when it was released and, as the developers had expressed at the time of launch, these are now being addressed with the updated roadmap for 2024. With so many changes to the island and gameplay mechanics, a lot is coming to freshen up this still-new game for players.
In a recent Developer Update on the Stairway Games website, a full development roadmap for 2024 was shared with some sneak peeks into what players can expect with each level. Major game changes and additions have been separated into three update periods, for versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. Although no dates have been specified yet, more information is expected to come with an April Developer Update that will discuss the ocean-related content of 1.1.
Update v1.1 to will be a massive update with everything from more story content, romance and relationships with the Merfolk, and a whole Town Rank S Questline. Upgrading the Museum to Rank S will allow it to have new animated projections to bring the dinosaurs to life in displays. Kickstarter backers of a certain level are to be represented in the game with their own tourist NPCs that will arrive in certain seasons. These tourists are not going to be available for romance, however.
