Sony and Firewalk Studios have released a new Concord update for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam and Epic). The new patch – showing as version 01.003.006 on PS5- is now available to download and includes a small number of fixes. Note that you will need to install this new Concord update in order to play the game and access online features.
With the game having only officially launched a couple of days ago, this patch is aimed at fixing smaller issues flagged by the player community. The big one here is the option to requeue after a match is finished should now be visible to players, allowing them to hop back into matchmaking quicker.
Firewalk has also lowered the level requirement needed to access Concord’s “Rivalry” game mode playlist. This includes Cargo Run and Clash Point which can both be considered more advanced, competitive modes played across multiple rounds with no respawns. Keeping greenhorn Freegunners away from these modes makes sense though, as a result, it’s likely that queue times for Rivalry are suffering as a result.
Our Concord review will be dropping later this week though our initial feedback is positive. Gunplay and player movement are satisfyingly smooth with enough depth to the hero roster to keep matches feeling dynamic. With that said, sentiment surrounding the game has continued to be negative since it was properly showcase for the first time earlier this year by Sony. If you want to read more, we’ve written a short analysis on why gamers want Concord to fail.
