Stellar Blade is getting Nier Automata DLC later this year.
Announced during the PlayStation State of Play, the DLC will see Eve from Stellar Blade receiving a costume based on 2B from Nier Automata. No further details on the DLC were shared.
The game will also receive a photo mode later this year, which will allow players to pose Eve, change her outfit, and add visual new visual effects to screenshots.
Stellar Blade’s soundtrack is also now available on streaming platforms. The soundtrack includes over 180 tracks.
It was also confirmed during the State of Play that Eve will appear as a cameo bot in the upcoming Astro Bot speedrun DLC.
The DLC will consist of 5 new online speedrun levels. Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, director Nicolas Doucet said: “Many of you asked for the return of speedrun levels, so we hope you enjoy those. Time to sharpen those jumping skills and shave milliseconds at every turn.”
Stellar Blade developer Shift Up and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment are being sued over the game’s name.
As reported by IGN, a Louisiana-based film production company named Stellarblade is alleging trademark infringement, and claiming the PS5 game’s release has pushed its “long-established business into digital obscurity”.
In the complaint, it’s claimed that Stellarblade owner Griffith Chambers has owned stellarblade.com since 2006, and that the company has provided “multimedia entertainment services” such as film and video production since 2010.
Stellar Blade was initially revealed in 2021 as Project Eve, before its final name was announced the following year.
