The Butcher Offers Something Wicked To Diablo 4 Players During The Limited Time Halloween Event
is getting in on the holiday action with a special Halloween event, including some limited-time free cosmetics for the Wanderer to snatch up from the in-game store. The game seems a perfect fit for a spooky season celebration, with its emphasis on all things macabre, begging the question of why this season isn't even bigger for the dungeon crawler. However, with the recent release of the expansion and Season of Hatred Rising in the game, there is already a lot going on in Sanctuary.
The Butcher headlines the festivities which were announced earlier today on the official account on X (formerly known as Twitter). It will run from October 29 to November 5, 2024, with free daily cosmetics available in the in-game store between October 29 and November 1. While players must have the base game of in order to participate in the event, they do not need to have purchased the expansion.
A sinister game of chance is included with the Meat or Treat game, which currently leaves much to the imagination until players can see for themselves what these surprises will entail.
In Tejal's cosmetics shop in, one complimentary spider-themed cosmetic item will be available, for free, from October 29 through November 1. To obtain, a person must open up the in-game shop and «purchase» each item at no cost to have it claimed on their account. If a player misses one of these daily cosmetics, Blizzard states that they will still have a chance to grab the freebie retroactively until the event ends on November 5.
