Blumhouse's video game publishing efforts will properly kick into gear in October as it confirms a release date for PS1-inspired horror game Fear the Spotlight, releasing for PS5, PS4 on 22nd October 2024. Check out the new trailer above.
It's designed to be welcoming to survival horror newcomers while presenting «a creepy love letter to classic 90s horror experiences with a focus on rich storytelling, puzzle solving, and a tense atmosphere». Here's the setup: «The séance went terribly wrong. Amy has disappeared, and the school has transformed into a nightmarish version of its former self. Play as Vivian to uncover a dark hidden past while attempting to save both you and your friend.»

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he's found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.

Didn't really understand this. Not for me
It's kinda funny to see PS1 graphic style became trend in 2024. I guess people really missed the charming low res / poly, blocky, and wobbly graphics.
Meh, goog idea but if I wanted to play PS1 style games I would just play on my PS1. Especially announcing the PS Pro then showing this.....makes no sense.
