During Sony's State of Play showcase, BioWare showed off some dragon-busting Dragon Age: The Veilguard gameplay, with a mage character going up against multiple evil beasties. In a second trailer, the build used is dissected, and we can glean a little more about how power progression will work in the upcoming, expansive RPG.
The Rook in question is a level 35 mage, focusing on fire damage to exploit a specific dragon's elemental weakness. Wielding staff, dagger, and elemental orb, we see just one way the player character can stack the deck against enemies and overcome fearsome odds. Careful use of abilities will allow the player to exploit synergies and inflict status effects and maximum damage. You can check it out for yourself below:

Am I the only one who thought the cutscenes actually looked worse than the actual gameplay graphics?
Looking forward to this game.
I have a feeling this game will bomb
@dskatter First cutscene there is less detail then in the first gameplay section, but the lighting is better. Second cutscene is significantly better graphics then the gameplay. Why they have some cutscenes looking significantly worse then others is absurd.
I’m more interested than I was after the initial trailer. Still, I’ll wait for reviews
