It has recently been confirmed that a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer map is on the way. Since the game launched back in October of last year, the selection of maps on offer within the game’s multiplayer component has remained a tenuous topic of conversation within the online Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 community.
An abundance of gamers have spent the past few months voicing their discontent regarding the layouts found in the original lineup of battle environments. The update for Season 2 that went live earlier this week did bring with it a couple of fresh multiplayer maps, however, they were not exactly brand new. One of these maps allows players to return to the Dome map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and the other features the Valderas Museum, which was present in the game’s beta, but missing from the multiplayer suite at launch.

Call of Duty has now teased the release of a truly fresh 6v6 map coming with Season 2 Reloaded, which is sooner than was originally planned. This is apparently due to the map being ready ahead of schedule and functioning well in playtesting sessions.
A screenshot of the upcoming environment was included in the tweet and seems to show some sort of ski resort. This holiday complex consists of an assortment of multistory buildings which surround a fancy-looking swimming pool in the center. Multiple waist-high walls can also be seen in the screenshot, which will undoubtedly come in handy as cover from enemy fire during matches.
