Respawn Entertainment has made Season 16 of Apex Legends a celebration of sorts, though some of the environmental updates have introduced sound effects that aren't sitting well with players. The long awaited sixteenth season of Apex Legends also coincides with its 4th anniversary, giving fans tons of rewards for logging in and checking out some of the big changes made to the game. Over the next two weeks, fans can even get their hands on two legends with Crypto and then Ash.
Outside of the new anniversary rewards, Respawn has also decided to forego a new Legend for this season and instead overhauled the current roster completely. Now, each Legend has been classified into a specific role to better reflect their play style, but also inherit a new gameplay perk. For many players, the biggest reveal is that Season 16 added a new Team Deathmatch specific mode, effectively replacing Arenas. However, one subtle change has not sat well with the community, who is now requesting adjustments be made.
Apex Legends Gets Hotfix for Team Deathmatch After Issues With Early Leavers
Over on the official Apex Legends subReddit, a user named mafieth posted a short clip of the issue, highlighting the new environmental animations that take place during matches. As part of the celebratory nature of Season 16, planes fly over matches and leave colored trails in the sky. Unfortunately, players have found that these animations use similar, if not the same, sound effects as the revive drop-ship or Valkyrie's Skyward Dive ultimate ability.
