Call of Duty: Warzone 2 fans are expressing their disappointment and outrage after the popular game mode Resurgence Solos was removed just days after its return to the series. After a slight delay, Season 2 of Warzone 2 brought with it plenty of new content and changes to the formula including how backpacks and plates function as well as an entirely new map called Ashika Island. The map itself is smaller in scope, leading many to compare it to Rebirth Island.
However, for many longtime players, the biggest element to Season 2 was the return of the fan favorite game mode called Resurgence. Unlike the traditional battle royale mode, Resurgence takes place on smaller maps and features a much faster pace with eliminated players being able to redeploy as long as at least 1 teammate is alive. It was first added to Warzone back in December 2020, going in and out at various times, though this was the mode's first arrival into Warzone 2, leaving many fans excited to check it out once again.

However, it seems that excitement was short-lived as just four days after its arrival into Warzone 2, the solo version of Resurgence has been removed entirely. It seems the mode was only really intended to be available over the weekend, though most players were seemingly unaware of that. This isn't the firt time Raven Software has been accused of removing game modes too quickly, as this was a common complaint from the Call of Duty community during the lifespan of the first Warzone.
