The next installment in the hit indie horror series Layers of Fear is due out sometime in 2023, but in the meantime, developer Bloober Team has released a new trailer for the game while also making a slight name change. While the first entry was a rather short PC game, it more than demonstrated the creative chops of the studio, with the story offering a glimpse into the world of an obsessive artist who's hellbent on completing his magnum opus. A sequel was released in 2019, and fans are now looking forward to the next entry.
With Bloober hard at work on the Silent Hill 2 remake, for many gamers, the team has become synonymous with high-quality horror titles. Although yet to truly break into the mainstream, the reimagining of the iconic Silent Hill game could see the studio cement its place in AAA horror gaming. While there have been some criticisms about Bloober's previous work, particularly The Medium's depiction of mental health, the Polish studio has more than shown that it has the ability to stand out in the indie scene by offering up some visually stunning and creepy releases.

With the clip opening on a lighthouse, fans are given a brief glimpse into what can be expected from this new entry that promises to tie the series together. One thing that some may have noticed is the slight name change as well. When asked on Twitter about it, Bloober said that it chose to drop the «s» from the original Layers of Fears title after receiving feedback.
