Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2 have both been mentioned on a developer's LinkedIn page. This suggests both games are in the works, yet to be officially revealed.
This comes from the LinkedIn page of Randel Reiss, a former studio technical director at Lost Boys Interactive, which has supported game development over at Gearbox. During his time at the studio, Reiss says he worked on both Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2, both developed in Unreal Engine 4. The reference is still on Reiss' page at the time of writing, appearing alongside other titles that have already launched, like the first Tiny Tina game.
While it's been previously indicated that both sequels are in the works, this is a pretty clear sign that development is still going ahead amidst behind-the-scenes issues at Gearbox. Neither game has been officially unveiled, however, and it's not clear when they will be.
According to the LinkedIn page (as spotted by ComicBook), Reiss left Lost Boys Interactive in July 2022. This means that the sequels must have been in active development at this point if they're getting a mention on the page. If true, this means we might get an announcement sooner rather than later, since it indicates that Gearbox has had something cooking for fans over the past year.
The first Tiny Tina's Wonderlands game launched last year, on March 25, 2022. Borderlands 3 launched on September 13, 2019.
If Gearbox is planning to make a reveal by the end of the year, then The Game Awards is the next likely opportunity. That's set for December 7, so that might mark the official announcement for one or both of these titles.
