After a bit of a rough start, the cross-platform save feature for Warframe is rolling out for Founders. This feature was quietly announced and rolled out to Founder-tier players only, where it took a turn for the worse and was rolled back until fixes were implemented.
In a recent Tweet posted by the Warframe team, the developers announced that the cross-save platform known as Tenno will be rolling back out once more “for real this time!”. This means that those who paid for high-tier early-access rewards during the game’s initial release will be able to merge or link accounts via this platform.
<p dir=«ltr» lang=«en» xml:lang=«en»>Tenno, the first Cross Platform Save rollout phase has begun (for real this time)! #Warframe Founders can now attempt to Link or Merge their accounts. We will continue to update our Socials, Forums, and in-game Red Text as we test and prepare next steps. https://t.co/AowWjuMmCPInitially, players had to make an account for Warframe on every different platform. This means that there was no way to cross-save from an Xbox onto the player's PlayStation account, which could cause a bit of friction.
This new platform has two functions, according to the official FAQ section : Account Merging and Account Linking. The Account Merging feature allows players to move their resources and progress from another gaming platform to one singular account of their choosing. The Account Linking feature will allow players to consolidate multiple accounts into one Primary account.
The developers do mention this is a one-time-use feature and is completely permanent once complete. This feature will only be available for a limited time, and is only an option for Only accounts created before November 24 at 2 p.m. ET
