Here's how to evolve Tyrogue into their three different forms in The Indigo Disk.
By James Carr on
Three classic fighting type Pokemon return in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as part of The Indigo Disk DLC. Those Pokemon are Hitmontop, Hitmonchan, and Hitmonlee, all three of which evolve from Tyrogue. The requirements for evolving Tyrogue are simple, but there is a specific method to get each of the different versions. Here's how to evolve Tyrogue in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Tyrogue can be found on the eastern border of the Canyon Biome, in addition to the southern part of the area. Tyrogue is a fairly common Pokemon in this area, so finding one isn't too difficult.
Tyrogue evolves after hitting level 20, which every wild Tyrogue in The Indigo Disk will be far above. This means they will evolve as soon as they level up once after being caught. As for determining what version they evolve into, it is based on its attack and defense stats. If you go to Tyrogue's summary, you can tab over to moves and stats, where you can see the current numbers.
If the attack and defense stats are even, Tyrogue evolves into Hitmontop. If the attack stat is higher they evolve into Hitmonlee and if the defense stat is higher they evolve into Hitmonchan. Don't worry if Tyrogue's stats aren't where you want them. You can use Muscle Feather's to increase the attack stat and Defense Feather's to increase the defense stat. These items can be found as sparkling spots in the open world and awarded for completing Tera Raids.
