Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: How To Unlock Golden Mario
One of the best ways to show off your skills in is by using Golden Mario in a race. While other characters are already unlocked, players must put in some effort to obtain this shiny alternate skin for Metal Mario. Fortunately, unlocking this coveted skin is easy to understand.The Booster Course Pack DLC introduced 48 additional tracks, including some brand-new courses.
As mentioned before, Golden Mario is not an extra character but an alternate skin for Metal Mario. This special collectible can be unlocked by challenging the Grand Prix at 200cc. Selecting the highest speed can be challenging for many players, as some courses aren't designed with carts traveling this fast. Complete all Cups up through 150cc and Mirror mode with at least one gold star on each.
Gold Wheels
Beat the staff Ghost's time on every single course in the Time Trials mode.
Gold Glider
Amass a total of 5,000 coins in over any game mode. Wii U players will need to collect 10,000 coins.
When selecting characters, players will have the option to switch between each Metal Mario skin. In addition to Mario, there are many other Golden skins for characters in the game. Each of these has different requirements and offers no gameplay benefits. They are all purely cosmetic but are a great way to show off in an online race in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
