Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's chunky new demo has been out for a few days now, and fans have been scouring every single nook and cranny for any potential piece of information that could reveal more of the story. While nobody has found anything like that so far, they have found a couple of neat little nods to the original game in the form of two posters in Tifa's bedroom in Nibelheim.
First spotted by Reddit user DuuudeBismarck (thanks GamesRadar), these posters can be seen in the demo and the recent State of Play and seem to depict both Ruby and Emerald Weapon, two of the original game's superbosses that fans will be more than familiar with due to how ridiculously difficult their fights are. Be warned, there are minor spoilers for the original Final Fantasy coming up.
The poster of Emerald Weapon can be seen to the left of Tifa's piano, asking people to "Dive Deep Into The Emerald Sea", while the poster of Ruby Weapon can be found to the right of her piano, telling people to come "Marvel At The Ruby Red Sunset". While the posters don't explicitly depict either superboss they're referring to, the natural landscape of the posters is shaped similarly to their PS1 models from the original Final Fantasy 7.
It's a very clever and subtle reference, which some fans even think could be hints as to how these creatures will surface in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. Those that play the original will know that they kind of crawl menacingly out of a crater towards the end of the game, but some believe that this is the game hinting that the Weapon bosses actually make up the world's landscape, and will rise up out of the ground when they're awoken by Sephiroth, similar to the Adamantoise in Final Fantasy 15.
Whatever the case, it will be interesting to see how Square Enix tackles the Weapon fights in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, especially since they're massive and the Emerald Weapon fight in particular takes place underwater. The original Final Fantasy 7 could obviously get away
