Recently-released indie shooter BattleBit Remastered has shifted almost two million copies in its first fortnight on sale.
That's according to developer Okyanus "SgtOkiDoki" Mutlu, who told How to Market A Game that the title had shifted 1.8 million units in its first two weeks. The shooter launched back on June 15th.
Though Mutlu and his team has seen success with BattleBit Remastered, the developer has urged indies to not try to make multiplayer titles.
“If you are planning to make a multiplayer game, dont! I am not going to lie, don’t," Mutlu said.
"Make a single-player game (if this is your first game). it is very trying. If you are going to accept that you are going to be slammed by a hammer.”
When it first launched on Steam, BattleBit Remastered was the second highest-grossing title on the platform. Since release it has dropped to third place.
