Warning! Spoilers for Flashpoint Beyond #0 by DC Comics
In an attempt to reset his reality and save his son, Flashpoint Batman just tried to recreate the experiment that led to the creation of The Flash in the pages of DC Comics. However, after finding a powerless Barry Allen, Thomas Wayne's plan to turn him into the speedster fails spectacularly, as the experiment is sabotaged by Aquaman and his forces, leading to the brutal death of the would-be superhero.
In the newFlashpoint Beyond miniseries from DC Comics, Thomas Wayne awakens in the previously destroyed Flashpoint reality, confused about its existence and meaning for the world he just spent time on. After spending time on Prime Earth as a member of the Justice League Incarnate, Flashpoint Batman somehow is returned to a timeline that shouldn't exist. Wayne tries to create The Flash in his universe to fix the Flashpoint timeline and save his son. But, he quickly finds out that other nefarious forces are at play, leading to a massive failure in his mission.

In Flashpoint Beyond #0 by Geoff Johns, Eduardo Risso, Trish Mulivill, and Rob Leigh from DC Comics, Thomas Wayne wakes up in a world he thought no longer existed. After confirming it's the real Flashpoint world, the emotionally exhausted Batman realizes to stop the deadly reality from existing, he will need his own Flash to recreate the experiment that caused Flashpoint. That leads him right to Barry Allen. The Flashpoint Universe's Allen shares many of the characteristics of The Flash before his powers. However, his mother was never killed, and he never became a speedster — Batman plans on changing the latter.
