Crafting RPG Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story officially has a release date of February 21, 2024. Developed by Lazy Bear Games and published by Riot Forge Games, Bandle Tale lets fans play as their own Yordle in the quirky Bandle City as they craft a plethora of goods for its inhabitants.
I recently had the opportunity to get a glimpse of the gameplay in Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story and let me start by saying it is certainly a Lazy Bear Games title. Graveyard Keeper is one of my favorite games and I often find myself going back to it when I’m in the mood for in-depth crafting. Based on what I saw, it appears as though Bandle Tale pushes the massive crafting systems Lazy Bear is known for to the next level.
As players seek to help the citizens of Bandle City—which includes beloved League of Legends Yordle’s including Teemo, Tristana, and Veigar—they will explore multiple islands gathering a variety of resources to bring back to their own personal home and craft into goodies. The player’s home is multipurpose, serving not only as the living space for our character but also where as a mobile storage and crafting device.
Each island has designated areas that the player can pack up and deploy their home to, also deploying any crafting tables and decorations installed nearby. As you progress, your fellow Yordles will task you with crafting more intricate goods, requiring you to manage and properly setup optimal crafting areas to do so.
But the Yordle we play as isn’t only a crafting guru, but an epic party thrower. Players can throw their own festivals and parties at their house, choosing how to setup and decorate the party as well as who to invite. Each party is its own little puzzle where if you throw a successful party and appease your guests, you gain skill points and other rewards.
