Larian Studios has released two hotfixes for Baldur’s Gate 3, its acclaimed Dungeons and Dragons RPG. A recent minor hotfix restored cross-platform saves ahead of the PS5 version’s launch, which the team is focused on, but will all these improvements reflect in the console version?
Director of Publishing Michael Douse confirmed on Twitter that they indeed will. “Yeah, all of the improvements and fixes to the game will be reflected in the PlayStation 5 version and beyond.” “Beyond” seems to imply that they’ll be available in the Xbox Series X/S version, which seems a given (but is still good to know). After all, a release date has yet to be announced, and it could very well launch next year.
Baldur’s Gate 3 launches on September 6th for PS5 but Digital Deluxe owners get five days of early access. You can check out our review of the PC version, which has over 800,000 peak concurrent users since launch. It’s become the second-biggest Steam launch of 2023, ranks ninth in the all-time concurrent player charts and also the highest rated game of the year on Metacritic.
Bumping for visibility. Yeah, all of the improvements and fixes to the game will be reflected in the PlayStation 5 version and beyond. https://t.co/aqrg9uxqLg
