Since its full launch for PC a little under a month ago, Baldur’s Gate 3 has received a number of hotfixes that have added some post-launch polish to the massive RPG. Now, its first full patch has also been released- and as many had expected, it’s a big one.
In fact, according to developer Larian Studios, the patch is so big that its full patch notes exceeded the character limit for Steam. It brings a number of key improvements and fixes, with over 1,000 bugs in total being addressed. This includes things like floating objects, progression blocks in certain quests and character romances, glitches related to stealth, and a whole host of balancing changes.
You can check out a selection of the patch notes below, and go through them in their entirety through here. Do keep in mind, though, that there might be some spoilers in there- so proceed with caution.
Meanwhile, Larian has also confirmed that patch 2 is also “right around the corner”, and “will feature significant performance improvements”, as well as some features requested by players. Perhaps the ability to modify your character’s appearance? Meanwhile, as previously confirmed, you can expect all of the game’s post-launch fixes to reflect in its upcoming PS5 version as well.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC, and launches for PS5 on September 6. An Xbox Series X/S version will also release sometime this year.
