As soon as I saw the trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen – Phantom Parade, I pounced on the opportunity to spread the news, and on JJK Thursday no less! So, promptly after signing up for the pre-registration, I’ll be watching the new episode of the Shibuya Arc. (If you haven’t read the manga, be prepared, and good luck…)
Based on the brilliant series by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen is one titan of an anime. With no short abundance of fans (myself included), JJK has come out on top this year with the announcement of their gacha game set to release later this year.
Now you’re in my domain let’s settle into what we know about the game already, don’t worry, I’ll let you out unharmed afterward. Currently, we get to see a snippet of gameplay in the more Recent 2023 Trailer, which features our beloved protagonist, Yuji Itadori.
The teasers, which stay true to the show’s style, display Yuji in combat against low-level curses, with a small display of move sets that we also iconically see within the main series. Yuji shows off with his divergent fist and black flash attacks, before the trailer cuts to a range of wonderfully illustrated still image artworks of him.
Before I get ahead of myself, let me remind you that this game currently allows you to pre-register! Signing up for the pre-registration has its perks too, as once the game reaches set milestones, players will be awarded different items upon loading into the game for the first time.
