Baldur's Gate 3's Patch 6 is here, and it's huge. As Larian teased, the patch does indeed add a bunch of new kisses, with every romance option getting multiple unique smooching animations to cycle through.
However, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The patch makes numerous changes and fixes, many of which centre around the game's romance options. This includes some reworks to the reflection scene before the epilogue and even a new ending for the Lae'zel romance path - finally, you can both fly off into the sunset together, even if you're not Githyanki.
But first, the kisses. Now, when you ask your character's partner for a smooch, you should get something that reflects their personality a little better. Larian says that these new animations can range from being romantic to "a little more intense". And if that new kiss with ascended Astarion is anything to go by, intense is certainly the right word for it.
Moving on, we should also notice some changes to the reflection scenes between the final boss and the epilogue, better representing our relationships with our companions.
There are far too many other changes to go over in one article, but some are worth mentioning. For starters, we have a cure for becoming a mind flayer at the end of the game - kind of. Now, if a player-character Gale chooses to make the sacrifice, Mystra can change him back should he meet her in Elysium. This makes a lot of sense - she's a god, she can just do that - but it is exclusive to Gale. So, sorry Tavs, Durges, and the rest of you. You're just stuck like that.
Speaking of gods, Origin Astarions and Karlachs will now be able to ask god Gale for a cure in the epilogue. However, since Larian isn't making a bigger deal about potentially curing Astarion's vampirism or Karlach's engine, I think it's safe to assume that he shoots them down. What a guy.
There are various little writing changes like this dotted throughout the patch notes, so certain events might play out a little differently
