A new game based on the Dungeons & Dragons license blending different genres was announced today by Gameloft.
The yet-to-be-named game, which is being developed by Gameloft Montreal, the studio behind Disney Dreamlight Valley and LEGO Star Wars Castaway, among others, will be set in the Forgotten Realms and will bring unique cooperative gameplay featuring an innovative hybrid of survival, life simulation, and action RPG.
"We are honored to partner with Wizards of the Coast to deliver a completely new experience in the Dungeons & Dragons universe,” said Gameloft Montreal executive producer Lee Kaburis in the press release announcing the game. "We are all big fans of Dungeons & Dragons and are already hard at work bringing our concept to life, including growing our team, and we look forward to sharing more details in the future."
Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro senior vice president of digital strategy and licensing Eugene Evans celebrated the announcement of the new game based on Dungeons & Dragons, saying how their partnership with Gameloft is a "prime illustration" of their strategy to grow their digital games portfolio through licensing and internal development.
The Dungeons & Dragons game by Gameloft is currently in development for PC and consoles. No further detail was revealed.
