Lego has been teasing a team-up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons for the past month, starting with its gelatinous cube teaser with various D&D items turned into Lego inside it. Now we know exactly what the first collaboration between the two massive brands is going to look like. Lego has revealed its Red Dragon's Tale set, and there's not long to wait until you can center your very own game night around it, particularly if you're a Lego Insider.
Lego Insiders will be able to order the D&D set from April 1, while everyone else will have to wait until April 4. Made up of 3,745 pieces, the Red Dragon's Tale set includes a tavern - with a detachable roof - a dungeon, and a tower. Oh, and a massive red dragon, of course, hence the set's name. Sure, including a Dungeon and a dragon in what will likely be the first of many D&D Lego sets might be a little on the nose, but it looks fantastic.
The dragon can wrap itself around the tower when complete, and you'll be provided with Minifigures with which you will be able to fend off the firebreathing beast, an Orc Rogue and Elf Wizard among them. The set will also include an owlbear Minifigure which, if Baldur's Gate 3 has taught me anything, will be the most popular part of this entire set despite the impressive and elaborate dragon you'll be tasked with building upon arrival.
