The Crow Trailer Sees Bill Skarsgård Become Eric Draven in Dark New Remake
The first trailer for the remake of has been released.
Lionsgate has released the first trailer for The Crow, the new supernatural superhero film starring Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven.

Along with It and Barbarian’s Skarsgård, The Crow stars FKA Twigs (Honey Boy), Isabella Wei (1899), Danny Huston (Wonder Woman, Succession), Laura Birn (Foundation, The Innocents), Sami Bouajila (Ganglands, A Son), and Jordan Bolger (The Woman King, The Book of Boba Fett).
“Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them,” the official synopsis reads. “Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.”
The Crow is directed by Rupert Sanders, who previously made 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman and 2017’s Ghost in the Shell. The script was written by Zach Baylin and Will Schneider, while Edward R. Pressman, Samuel Hadida, Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, and John Jencks serve as producers.
The remake will be the fifth installment in The Crow franchise, which began in 1994 with the Brandon Lee-starring movie directed by Alex Proyas. It was followed by 1996’s The Crow: City of Angels, 2000’s The Crow: Salvation, and 2005’s The Crow: Wicked Prayer, the latter of the two being direct-to-video releases.
There was also a television series, The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, that aired from 1998 to 1999.
The new remake, which is based on James O’Barr’s limited comic book series from 1989, has had a troubled production. It was initially announced a remake of The Crow was in the works over a decade ago and, since then, many directors and writers have signed on and then departed from the project.
