Baldur's Gate 3's full release is set for August of this year, but that doesn't mean we have to wait that long to delve into the world Larian has created. Just after announcing a new villain, the pre-launch campaigning continues, as the devs release a free online murder mystery game - albeit one that will have to be solved by the entire community.
Blood in Baldur's Gate sees fans team up to decide how to approach a murder investigation in the city of Baldur's Gate, voting on where to search for clues next. So far, one area has been unlocked, giving players a vivid description of what we can see and hear in this location and giving us hints as to where to search next. A poll on what our next move should be will end in about four hours, which will give us another part of the city to investigate.

Blood in Baldur's Gate takes place 15 years before the events of Baldur's Gate 3 and revolves around the murder of an elf in the harbour. So far, this is the only area we can explore, with the game giving us a description of the crime scene and two options for where we can continue our investigation.
Our options are Fisher's Whaft or Admiral's Way. Either one seems like a sound choice, given their proximity to the murder scene and the fact that there are probably witnesses at both locations. However, the notes for the murder scene mention a bloodied boot print heading to Fisher's Whaft, so that got my vote.
Right now, reading this short text passage on the crime scene and voting on the next area is all we can do in the game. However, there's an inventory system, so it does seem like everything will get more involved as more of the map opens up to us.
