However, now a leaker has claimed that the real title of Assassin's Creed Red is Assassin's Creed Shadows, which does carry some interesting implications for the title.
Until Ubisoft confirms the real title of Assassin's Creed Red, fans should take this information with a grain of salt. The rumor can be traced back to a Twitter account called UBI_FraxV2, which claimed that it was called Assassin's Creed Shadows and had 2 DLC releases planned. Shortly after, the account was banned on Twitter and hasn't been reinstated yet. The name would then creep to other social media, being used sparingly on the internet. It hasn't gotten a lot of traction, but the banning is not enough to suggest this leak is legit one way or another.
On the chance the leak is legit, it potentially carries a lot of weight as a subtitle. Assassin's Creed Origins is so-called because it explores the creation of the Hidden Ones and the predecessors of the Templar Order, the Order of the Ancients. Assassin's Creed Odyssey is so-called because it is an epic Greek journey, while Assassin's Creed Valhalla focuses on the less-Assassin and more-Warrior ally of Eivor and her battle methods.
