Mark Gurman shared in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple is working on new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. The company is potentially planning to release the 13.6-inch model with upgraded internals. However, the 15.5-inch model will be a brand-new addition to the lineup which will streamline the category similar to the MacBook Pro models.
It was previously uncovered that the larger version of the MacBook Air will be powered by the M2 chip, the same processor that powers the 13.6-inch variant. What this means is that the company is only introducing a new size of the product. The report mentions that the company is working on new 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. It is not yet clear what upgrades the machines will feature if Apple decides to release them at the WWDC event in June. This is because both variants are currently powered by the M2 chip. Apple is also working on a slightly smaller 13.4-inch MacBook model with an OLED display.
