New World ’s next round of server merges will begin tomorrow, affecting three regions.
After announcing several days agothat there would be some new server merges, Amazon Games held a short downtime over the weekend to prepare the servers they will merge. This includes notices to those with characters on those servers to prepare them for any changes and disabling server transfers.
Work is set to begin on this process tomorrow at 9 AM PDT/12PM EDT, for an estimated 4-hour downtime. This round of merges is a small one in comparison to some of the previous ones. Just seven servers will merge, with several being folded into the same new server, leaving four when the work is done.

Amazon also shared in the notice announcing the new server merges, that transfers off of Fresh Start worlds would also now be available. You’ll be able to transfer to a legacy server with a transfer token, whether you have one on hand or buy the option. Until the server merges are completed, there are no transfers to any of the involved servers, so it may be worth waiting if you have any interest in the servers that will remain.
With promises to keep on top of the important metrics that show that a server’s population is in a good place, we should not be surprised at a small server merge round like this. With the new structure, including seasons and the ongoing Leaderboards, keeping server populations robust enough to keep things competitive matters.
