Back in 2019, Guerrilla Games co-founder and studio head Hermen Hulst moved up to become the head of PlayStation Studios, and now, one of his replacements at the Amsterdam-based studio will be following in his footsteps.
Guerrilla has announced that Angie Smets, studio director and executive producer – who became one of three studio heads upon Hulst’s departure – will be leaving her position to join PlayStation Studios as the head of development strategy.
Following Smets’ departure, Guerrilla has also confirmed that its new management structure will see production director Joel Eschler, general manager Hella Schmidt, and art director Jan-Bart van Beek operating as co-studio heads. Meanwhile, technical director Michiel van der Leeuw will be “focusing on the future technology and strategy for the Decima engine.”
Guerrilla has also confirmed that alongside the previously-announced multiplayer Horizon title, it is also working on the sequel to Horizon Forbidden West.
