An earlier Apple Vision Pro launch timeline stated that the mixed-reality headset’s shipments would start in February next year, with the company’s supply chain working in overdrive mode to avoid any further delay. Now, one analyst believes that if the current schedule is maintained, the device will start getting stocked in stores beginning in late January. Aside from these launch predictions, the analyst also states that the mixed-reality headset will be Apple’s most important product for 2024 and also provides shipment estimates for next year.
Mass shipments of the Apple Vision Pro will reportedly commence in the first week of January next year, according to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The first batch is estimated to arrive in late January or early February, which is almost in line with the prediction made by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. However, despite the small 500,000 estimated shipments of the Apple Vision Pro, Kuo believes that this will be the company’s most important product for 2024 and that a positive user experience will pave the way for a healthy mixed-reality future.
However, Kuo’s estimates for the Apple Vision Pro shipments are half of what we reported about previously, with an analysis done by Jiemian stating that the device will ship around 400,000 units at launch and reach the one million milestone by the end of 2024. The positive sentiment around the headset, given its ludicrous $3,499 price tag, suggests that these are exaggerated figures, and Kuo’s prediction appears to be the more likely figure, though the analyst has been incorrect on more than one occasion too.
