Each year, Apple introduced new color options for its flagship iPhone models. The company offers new colors for the standard as well as the 'Pro' iPhone models. We have previously heard that Apple is testing new red and blue colors in darker shades for the forthcoming iPhone 15 Pro lineup. A leaker has now shared details on what new colors we should be looking forward to next month for the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
It was previously reported that Apple will be offering a dark red and blue color option for the iPhone 15 Pro models. However, the company introduced a single new color each year for the 'Pro' models. What this means is that the company could either go with dark red or dark blue unless it decides to introduce a different color. As for the iPhone 15 models, the company is rumored to be testing orange, yellow, rose gold, and a few other color options.
The details were shared by leaker Unknownz21 on X, highlighting how the iPhone 15 models could look next month in terms of color. According to the source, Apple tested at least six new colors internally. Past rumors have coined that the standard models will come in a blue and pink-like finish. Unknownz21 mentions the possibility of an orange color option as well. Take note that the company played around with hues of orange as the color in the past for the iPhone XR called Coral.
These are the colors that were tested on the base model iPhone 15, throughout different development stages:
- Pink / Rose Gold / Blush Gold
- Green
- Blue
- Yellow
- Orange (inconsistent mentions)
- Black / Midnight / Dark / Basalt
We should see at least some of these
