Among Us has been dubbed the next game worthy of getting its very own adaptation. The hit mobile game which launched in 2018 and found massive success during the pandemic is getting an animated TV show. In it, a team of crewmates will be infiltrated by an alien posing as one of them while causing chaos and yes, killing the other crewmates, just like in the game.
Innersloth excitedly shared the news via the Among Us Twitter account after it was reported by Variety, clearly very excited the game will be getting the adaptation treatment as the tweet was in all caps. “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs,” the official logline for the show reads.

CBS Studios' Owen Dennis will be the project's creator and executive producer, working alongside various members of the Innersloth team who will also be attached to the show as executive producers.
Titmouse has been revealed as the animation studio working on the adaptation with Dennis and Innersloth, best known for its work on shows such as Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks. Naturally still in the very early stages of production, that's all we currently know about the show. Since it appears to be a like-for-like adaptation in terms of the premise of the game, I'm assuming it will be geared toward adults.
